Sarah’s solo jazz album — WHAT THE MUSIC SAYS DO — is HERE!
“This is a fearless and refreshing record.”
— Steve Kaul, engineer
“Wherever I am listening, my heart is made softer, my mood is uplifted, and my spirits feel enriched.
— Rebecca Frost, writer, performer, therapist and educator
What the Music Says Do, Sarah M. Greer’s debut studio recording, is her exploration of the many sounds and ideas that the jazz genre can hold.
Tracked live in three days in December 2017, What the Music Says Do includes an impressive and varied list of jazz musicians. The core instrumental trio — Anthony Cox (bass), Nathan Greer (drums) and Steven Hobert (piano) — performs on all of the songs, while musicians Dean Magraw (guitar), Jake Baldwin (trumpet), Pete Whitman (clarinet, saxophone), Dave Schmalenberger (percussion) and a cappella ensemble Give Get Sistet make guest appearances on select tracks.
