I am delighted to rejoin a number of local singers in the second Scat-Off taking place as part of this year’s Jazz Festival.

SINGER SCAT OFF, Saturday June 24th – 8:30PM to 10:00 PM
Come join some of the Twin Cities most scat-tastic vocalists at this year’s inaugural Scat-OFF. Following in the traditions of greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme, scat singers, Dorothy Doring, Sarah M. Greer, Vicky Mountain, Jana Nyberg and Jim TenBensel will take turns showing off their scat styles.

Audience members will choose a scat champion after seeing each singer in action, first in solo numbers, then in duets, trios and the final SCAT OFF. Vocalist Maryann Sullivan will MC the evening.

Supporting all the vocal gymnastics are Phil Aaron on keys, Jim Chenowith on bass and Nathan Greer on drums (yep, my brother Nate (c;)
