August 5, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$15Come help me celebrate!
After more than a year of (wishin’ and hopin’ and thinkin’ and prayin’,) planning and scheming — not to mention writing, singing, recording and mixing — “What the Music Says Do” is finally here!
We will gather in the intimate Dunsmore Room @ Crooner’s Lounge & Supper Club to play songs from (and maybe tell some tales about making) this album.
Featuring:
Anthony Cox (bass)
Nathan Greer (drums)
Steven Hobert (keys)
+ special guest Dean Magraw
Music starts at 6:30 pm, but the Dunsmore Room is a dining room so you can come as early as 5:30 pm for dinner.
Oh and … THE CDS WILL BE THERE!!!** So if you need a copy, you can get one (or more *smile*) directly from me at the show.
Note: Seating in the Dunsmore Room is limited; so if you’d like to join us, please order your tickets soon (it’s only two weeks away!): https://croonersloungemn.ticketfly.com/event/1732460-sarah-greer-cd-release-party-minneapolis/
**Kickstarter Backers: If you are able to attend the show, I will have your CDs with me. I would love to thank you in person for backing my project!
About the Album
Tracked in three days at the end of 2017, “What the Music Says Do” Sarah M. Greer’s debut studio recording, features an impressive and varied list of almost entirely local musicians. The core instrumental trio – Anthony Cox (bass), Nathan Greer (drums) and Steven Hobert (piano) – performed on all of the songs, while musicians Dean Magraw (guitar), Jake Baldwin (trumpet), Pete Whitman (clarinet, saxophone), David Schmalenberger (percussion) and the black women’s a cappella ensemble Give Get Sistet made guest appearances on select tracks.
