Jazz vocalist and songwriter Jennifer Parker and I teach together regularly, but we rarely get to sing together. That changes tomorrow. *smile*

I am over the moon to join Jen guitarist Chris Olson for Double Jazz Night at Jazz Central Studios. We have gathered a bounty of artists and genres — we’ll present everything from the Beatles to Leonard Cohen including scat-tastic standards and swinging originals.

If you haven’t been to Jazz Central before, it is a relaxed and intimate place to hear (and play!) music. Seating in this cozy venue is first come, first serve. Since it’s not a club, it doesn’t have a bar, but non-alcoholic beverages are available for a small donation. (No bar also means minors are welcome. *smile*)

JCS is not a restaurant either, but Vanessa Lopez (who served “Tuesday night tacos” at the Artists’ Quarter) frequently joins us and brings a delicious entree and dessert.
