Speaking of Zoom …
I am sharing share some tips that should improve the sound quality for everyone. (These are from my experiences teaching singing online.)
– Please wear (wired) headphones if you have them. Feedback and distortion can happen when your device amplifies through its microphone the sound coming out of its speakers. You can’t hear this effect, but the rest of us can. Headphones solve this problem.
– At times, I will ask you to mute your mic during group singing. Note: The group is usually small enough so that we won’t have to be muted throughout. 🙂
– If possible, join from a computer or laptop with a high-speed internet connection. An ethernet cable running directly from the modem offers the best sound/video. If you’re using wifi, set up near your modem where the signal is strongest. If your internet becomes unstable during our session, try turning off your video until the signal improves.
