MMTA Conference
June 9, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm
$59I will present an online session during this year’s online Minnesota Music Teacher’s Association Conference, June 7-9, 2020.
Songtaneous: Beginning a Vocal Improv Practice
Learning to improvise helps singing musicians explore, enhance, and extend their vocal skills. Improvising also builds the fundamentals of good musicianship – including creating melody, harmony, and counterpoint; maintaining a tonal center and consistency; and practicing deep listening. In this session, we will explore ways we can improvise alone and “together” using virtual tools.
Date: Tuesday, June 9th
Time: 2:00 pm
Location: Zoom Online Session
Conference registration is required to attend.
Fee: $59 for access to all sessions, free to high school and full-time college students.
