I am delighted to join members of the Give Get Sistet at the 10th annual Poetry and Pie event in Powderhorn Park. We’ll sing a new composition from Sistah Mankwe Ndosi to accompany a new poem by Miré Regulus.

ABOUT POETRY & PIE

Poetry and Pie is celebrating its tenth year. This annual event celebrates the long light of summer, the joy of pie, and the power of the word. Over thirty homemade pies baked by South Minneapolis neighbors are laid out on a long picnic table. After choosing your slice (or 2 or 3), you settle onto a picnic blanket in the shade by  yourself or with friends or family. The finest Minneapolis poets come around and deliver poems right to your blanket. There will be

A designated area where an ASL Interpreter interprets the poems and helps hearing people interact is available.

FREE and open to the public.
