With the support of Zeitgeist and their Sounding Ground composers residency, I, alongside three other composers, have created a new improvised composition for voice and small ensemble, called Precipice: Breaths for Diving.

Zeigeist and I will premiere Precipice in two March performances.

The first is Thursday, March 20th at the Zion Community Center in St Paul (7pm). Tickets are $15 and the evening will present the new works of all the residency participants.  The other composers include May Klug (Brennschluss), Leyna Marika Papach (PERSON/a requiem) and JC Sanford (Underwater Cousins).

The SOUNDING GROUND composer residency program provides commissioning, development, and production support for Minnesota composers in the early stages of their careers. SOUNDING GROUND awardees work closely with Zeitgeist over an extended period on the development and production of a significant new work created for Zeitgeist.
