You’re in for a night of big fun. Big band, that is.

On Nov 15, the Swing Sisterhood Big Band collaborates with seven vocalists to present an evening of swingin’ vocal jazz.

The “Magnificent 7” includes soloists Jen Bluhm, Sarah M. Greer, Lisa Harrigan, Erin Livingston, Jana Nyberg, Barbara Meyer and Yolanda Williams. They will sing and swing selections with the full 18-piece ensemble and smaller combos.

ABOUT SWING SISTERHOOD BIG BAND
Director and hornist Sarah Schmalenberger formed the Swing Sisterhood Big Band in the fall of 2015 to strengthen the network of female jazz musicians in the area. The ensemble is an all-female jazz big band of musicians who are active in the Twin Cities. Established jazz performers, music educators, freelancers, and selected college students play in the band.
