In this 3-hour workshop, participants practice improvising in a vibrant and supportive group of singers. The Circle Singing Improv Workshop borrows from Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra and Sarah’s numerous vocal improv studies during the past decade. Gathered in a circle and using only our voices, we will invent songs, grooves and chants to sing together. Singing together, we will uncover melodic ideas, explore rhythm and groove and develop unique personal languages. Invaluable for all singers and musicians, Circle Singing is especially meaningful for teachers and group facilitators.
